Syllabus for this Civil Examination

Paper I - (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian National Movement
Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.
Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization
General Science.

Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level)
Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)
English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

Indian Police Service (IPS) is conducted through UPSC , to became an IPS Officer one has to appear Civil Service Exam , There are certain eligibility criteria which are as follows........

*The candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognize university.
*The age limit is 21 - 30 yrs.
There is age relaxation for reserved candidates.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service .IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.There is no specific marks criteria for IPS exam

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.Also you must be citizen of India.

IPS Stands for Indian Police Service examination and this examination is conducted every once in a year . This Examination is organized by Union Public Service Commission.

To become a IPS officer, Applicant need to appear for Civil Service examination.

The selection procedure for this Civil Service Examination may divided into three stages , Preliminary examination / Main examination / Personal Interview

Your query's solution:
You are not eligible for IPS as the minimum qualification requited for it is Graduation from any recognized university.

Eligibility requirement:
You must be Indian, You should have done your graduation from any recognized university, Coming to age limits, You must have your age between 21 to 30 years which is for general candidates, 3 years of relaxation is given to OBC candidates and for SC/ST it is 5 years. A General candidate can apply for 4 times, whereas OBC 7 and SC/ST candidates No limit till their maximum age limit.

Pattern of Exam and it's syllabus:
Selection procedure consists of Written exam includes Prelims and Mains followed by interview. In Prelims Paper I contains General awareness, current events/topics questions of 200 marks and Paper II containts English comprehension, Logical reasoning, Analytical questions

Physical standards: Your height should be minim of 165cms for SC/ST it's 160cm and for Female itj's 150 for SC/ST it's 145cm. Chest must be 85cm and for female it must be 79cm.

Details on IPS Exam

The Indian Police Service recruitment is done through the Civil Service Exams conducted by UPSC every year..

A candidate can appear for the Civil Service Exams only if :-

>> The candidate is within the age limit of 21-30 years, 3 years and 5 years of age relaxation for OBC and SC/ST category candidates respectively..

>> Candidates appearing for the exam must also have completed their graduation in any stream from a recognized institute..

>> Maximum attempts allowed for the general category students is 4, for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST/PD candidates there is no restriction..

The written exam consists of 2 parts :-

Prelims or CSAT consisting of 2 objective papers..

Mains consisting of 9 subjective papers..

Since, you haven't mentioned your graduation stream hence I have attached the syllabus of the CSAT
