IBPS RRB Syllabus 2012 - IBPS RRB is conducting the common eligibility test among the rural regions to provide them bank facilities and their advantages. The candidates who are going to apply for these various provided posts in the IBPS RRB (Regional Rural Banks) must know the syllabus that will come in the Common Written Exams (CWE) that includes the following subjects as core subjects for eliminating candidates. The syllabus of CWE includes Test of English, Reasoning test and abilities, Aptitude Test, and General Awareness. The Full Syllabus of IBPS RRB Syllabus 2012 CWE is given below: Test of Reasoning and abilities General Awareness Aptitude Test English Language Test or Hindi Grammar test Computer Knowledge Test Test of Reasoning Abilities - There are some reasoning topics that a candidate must view before appearing for exams: Series Analogy Classification Analytic Reasoning Mirror-Images Water-Images Spotting Out the Embedded Figures Completion Of Incomplete Pattern Figure Matrix Rule Detection Paper Folding Paper Cutting Cubes and Dice Grouping of Identical Figures Dot Situation Construction of Squares and Triangles Figure Formation and Analysis Test of English Language - The competitive exams mostly include the general English questions such as on the topics of: Grammar Vocabulary Sentence completion Synonyms Antonyms Comprehension of a passage Spotting the Errors Filling in the blanks Use of prepositions, idioms/phrases Test of spellings Re-arranging jumbled up sentences, etc. Test of General Awareness - The candidate must be aware of the current affairs and other aspects like who is who, homophones and hetero-phones, Which is the largest ___, Which is biggest or small est ___, etc. These types of topics that included in the general awareness can be asked in the CWE objective type test. The candidate are asked to read daily newspaper and use to read some competitive general awareness magazines for the preparation of this section. Test of Computer Knowledge - The candidate can use to prepare some sample papers or the previous year papers to being prepared for this section. This section includes the basic knowledge of the computer awareness. |

Institute of Banking and Personnel selection or IBPS is organising a common written exam to be held for the recruitment in the 82 regional rural banks in the country.... IBPS conducts the common written exam for 2 posts ( sometimes 3 or 4 depends on the vacancy ) 1. common written exam for bank P.O 2. common written exam for clerk grade both of them are having different syllabus and stages of selection . PROBATIONARY OFFICER ( P.O ) ELIGIBILITY > candidate must be passed graduation in any stream some banks ask for 60 % in graduation. > age should be from 20 -30 yrs. > The question paper will consist of 6 section 1. Reasoning > 50 question for 50 marks 2. aptitude > 50 question for 50 marks 3. general awareness > 50 question for 50 marks 4. computer knowledge > 50 question for 50 marks 5. english language > 50 question for 25 marks 6. essay writing > 1 question of 25 marks total questions - 250 total marks - 250 negative marking - 0.25 for each wrong answer NOTE after clearing the written exam you will have a group discussion followed by personal interview. CLERK GRADE ELIGIBILITY 1. candidate should have passed 12 th with 50 % marks from a recognized board ( some banks asks for 60 % ) or the candidate have passed the graduation 2. age should be from 19 - 28 yrs. > some relaxation are given to the reserved candidates the question paper will comprise of 5 section 1. REASONING > 50 question for 50 marks 2. ENGLISH LANGUAGE > 50 question for 50 marks 3. APTITUDE > 50 questions of 50 marks 4. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE > 50 questions for 50 marks 5. COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE > 50 questions for 50 marks total question - 250 total marks - 250 total time - 150 min 0.25 will be deducted for each wrong answer NOTE after clearing the written exam you have to appear for the personal interview |

RRB stands for Railway Recruitment Board.
Syllabus of RRB exam:- 1. General Awareness- Current Affairs, Major Financial/Economic News, Budget and Five Year Plans, Sports, Books and Authors, Science - Inventions and Discoveries, Awards and Honours, Important Days, Abbreviations. 2. Analytical and quantitative skills- A. Verbal:- Number Series, Alphabet Series, Test of Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Number Ranking, Arithmetical Reasoning, Analogy, Decision Making. B. Non Verbal:- Mirror Images, Cubes and Dice, Grouping Identical Figures, Embedded Figures. 3. General Arithmetic:- Number System, HCF, LCM, Simplification, Decimal Fractions, Ratio and Proportions, Unitary Method, Percentage, Time and Distance, Profit and Loss, Average, Algebra, Data Interpretation, Mensuration. 4. Language-general hindi/ general english 5. Technical questions which is your profession related and can be tricky. RRB exam eligibility criteria:- To appy for this post you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. You should also have the proficiency in local language. Age limit for various posts:- For assistant post your age should be between 18-28 years. For scale I officer post your age should be between 18-28 years. For scale II officer your age should be between 21-32 years. For scale III officer your age should be between 20-30 years. Age relaxation for sc/st candiates: 5 years. for obc category it is 3 years.
