SSC Exam consists of 400 marks written test .

Written test divided into two papers & each paper consists of 200 marks .

Its good that you work in Police Department and want to make the Country Crime free but for your information for becoming and Police Inspector a candidate should be fit Physically as well as mentally.
The recruitment for the sub inspector post in Police department is recruited by the
State Police Service Commission, the minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the Sub Inspector post is as follows :-
a) Must be a citizen of India
b) Age limit should be 18-28 years.
c) Educational qualification :-
Must has passed out Graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate in any discipline from a State recognized university which comes under UGC.
Physical Fitness requires is as follows :-
CHEST :- 82cms
HEIGHT :- 172cms
Weight :- Equivalent to Height as per standard measures.

Selections for the Police Sub-inspectors through SSC exam consists of a 400 marks written test, which consists of 2 papers - Paper-I & Paper-II, each paper worth 200 marks. Those shortlisted after PET & medical test (as described below) are called for a 100mark interview.
Based on the relative performance of all the candidates in Paper-I , the cut-off for Police SI exam in Paper-I would be decided by Staff Selection Commission. Those above this cut-off would be called for Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Medical test, both of which are only qualifying in nature. If you can clear PET & medical test, the marks you scored in both Paper-I & II would be aggregated and shortlisting would be done to call you for the 100 mark Personality Test / Interview

Part-A. General Intelligence & Reasoning : It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc.
The topics are: Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/Number Classification, Figural Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Series, ProblemSolving, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Numerical Operations, symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/pattern-folding & un-folding, Figural Pattern- folding and completion, Indexing Address matching, Date & city matching Classification of centre codes/roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence etc.
