Re: What will be the career scope for Civil Engineering after 2014?
Civil Engineering is considered as the evergreen field of Engineering. Therefore you don't have to worry about the future of Civil Engineering. If you are interested, please take the admission.
May be your question has something to do with current condition of economy. Even during the poor show by economy, the requirement of Civil Engineers is not likely to come down. In government sector, there are gonna be big construction projects which government will undertake. Whether its dams, highways, bridges etc. It is job on government to continue working on the infrastructure of the country. Therefore both central and state governments will offer you jobs. In private sector, housing is one of the major areas. The real estate companies will continue to undertake construction projects for commerical and residential property. Besides there is increasing demand of malls, private offices and other contructions like private hospitals, hotels, restaurants etc that will keep the demand for Civil Engineers high. So without waiting for more details, apply for the Civil Engineering course. You will have to clear the entrance exam if you have completed 12th standard. If haven't then first step would be to complete 12th standard. You can appear for entrance exams like the ISEET. If you are looking for admission in government colleges like Indian Institutes of Technology and the National Institutes of Technology then it is essential to clear the ISEET entrance exam. Completing the Civil Engineering from reputed college will increase your chance of having good job. ISEET Eligibility 1. Clear 12th from a recognized board of India. 2. Physics, Chemistry and Maths should be your subjects. 3. 40 percent marks are required. In government sector you can apply for Public Sector Undertaking jobs as well you can appear for the Indian Engineering Service entrance exam. |
