Hi my dear friends,
Can some body tell me that when the form for the ftii will be come and the impotant date for the submission of the form. Also tell me how to prapare for the Production and Direction entrance exam.

FTII notification are not released yet,they are likely to be released in the month of june-july 2010 and forms will be also avaiable from the same time.

You must have to be thorough knowledge on followings:-

The history of Indian cinema, music, literature and art.
The basics of photography and cinematography.
Knowledge on recent events and developments in literature and cinema.
Aptitude- some questions are like writing the sound track for a particular situation, writing a story from a picture etc.

For the interview they might look at how the candidate presents himself and his attitude and passion for the field. Some of my friends said they carried their work with them like short films and photographs and the interviewers questioned them on the work.

it is better to join a good coaching for it.

eligibility:
1)Bachelor’s Degree

2)Two seats are reserved for NRI / foreign students in each of the above courses.

3)One seat is reserved in each of the three-year post graduate diploma courses and in the post graduate certificate courses in Feature Film Screenplay Writing and Animation & Computer Graphics, for foreign students on Indian Government sponsored scholarships such as those sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)

The advertisement generally appears in all major newspapers in the month of March.

1)You can collect a copy of the prospectus in person from the FTII after 9th March, 2009.

2)Fill the form and send by post, you will need to pay the total fees (Rs. 1610 for General / OBC [Non Creamy Layer] Candidate ,
and Rs. 1260 for SC/ST Candidate) all at once in a single demand draft.
