Re: When is the next NET SET exam?
The two exams you are referring at are conducted for the college lectureship and PhD in India. National Eligibility Test is a central level entrance exam while State Eligibility Tes is conducted by each state in India.
The goal of both exams is the same. National Eligibility Test is conducted twice in a year. First time it is conducted in June while second time it is conducted in December. You should have post graduation degree to apply for it. The dates for State Eligibility Test vary from state to state. Some states like Maharahstra conducts the exam twice while on the other hand states like Gujarat conducts it only once in a year. Unless you have mentioned any specific state, it is difficult to mention the dates of the next State Eligibility Test. You can find that out on their official websites. Several states have official website for the State Eligibility Test like in the case of Gujarat. NET/SET Eligibility 1. Only Indian citizens can apply for the exams. 2. Must have post graduation degree in any stream. 3. Must have completed degree from UGC recognized university. 4. At least 55 percent marks in post graduation. 5. There is 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST. 6. Final year students of master degree course can also apply. 7. But these students will have to submit degrees within 2 years of clearing the NET/SET exam. 8. You can appear for the exam as many times as you like. 9. Your NET subject should be relevant to post graduation course. Age Limit 1. The age limit for JRF is 28 years. 2. upto 3 years relaxation for OBC. 3. SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation. 4. There is no upper age limit for college lectureship. |

Re: When is the next NET SET exam?
Dear Friend,
NET and SET are two different examination pointing out the same result. NET Stands for National Eligibility Test. It is conducted by the University Grants Commission twice every year in the months of June and December. Whereas SET Stands for State Eligibility Test. It is conducted by the respective state governments every year. Both the examinations are conducted for the posts of JRF and Lectureship. As you have not specified the SET exam you would like to know the details its quite difficult to mention the schedule of SET Examination of each n every state. The Qualifications Required for NET/SET are : * you must have completed your post graduation in any stream from any recognized university. * you must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in graduation. * you must have Indian Nationality. * Your age must lie in between 21-28 years if you are willing for the post of JRF. * There is also a relaxation in upper age of 3 years for OBC candidates and of 5 years for SC/ST candidates. * There is no age limit for the post of Lectureship. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
