The eligibility to appear for iit-jee exam is is a pass grade in the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent. So you can attempt it only after 10+2 or even in the second year of your +2
But to tackle it you need to put rigorous effort so start your preparation after 10th class by approaching a good institute |

Re: When to prepare for IIT-JEE either after completion of 10th class or after completion of 12th class?
for IIT JEE exam you hav eto have lot of preparation. now a days people are starting their preparation from class 8th only. to succeed in IIT JEE you should have strong basics. so you can have strong basics if you start your preparation from your 8th or so.
i guess now you are in 10th and my advice for you is start preparation from now onwards so that you can have strong basics. and concentrate on your concepts rather than thinking of preparing towards examinations. if you have good conceptual knowledge than it is easy for you to crack IIT JEE because IIT JEE mainly focuses on some tricky questions for which you should have conceptual knowledge. so my dear friend dont wait till you complete your 12 but start your prepartion from now only. all the best. |

dear friend,
You want to take preparation for IIT-JEE exam. Then you have to really work hard. If you want to take preparation for IIT-JEE exam then you have to start the preparation from very beginning means from 11th class. After completion of 12th if you start your preparation then it will be very late for you. From class 11th you have to study throughly , try to clear all your concept and make your base strong. You can also prefer some reference books to get a vast knowledge in your field. So, be determine and work hard.. All the best. |

Re: When to prepare for IIT-JEE either after completion of 10th class or after completion of 12th class?
Hi
IIT JEE stands for the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination. Its the toughest under graduation Entrance Exam in out country. Its conducted by IIT every year to select candidates for the B.Tech courses in the 13 IIT's in India. Now The Basic Eligibility Criteria's to sit for the IIT JEE are :- 1. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school in any state of India. 2. You must have scored atleast 60% aggregate in your 12th boards. 3. You must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects in your HS for you to become eligible for the IIT JEE. 4. A candidate is granted only two consecutive attempts for this exam. One right after completion of the 12th board exams and another the year after. So anybody fulfilling these criteria's may apply for the IIT exam. Now coming to your question as to when one should start to prepare for this exam, I would recommend that you should start preparing right after you pass class 10th board exams. This is because, if after 12th you want to prepare, then you have to take a year off or drop which may hinder your career later on. So start parallelly with whatever is taught to you in class 11th and 12th, and so you should prepare side by side. This would be the best option. The syllabus of the IIE JEE is the whole curriculum taught comprehensively in class 11th and 12th . Hope this helps All the best |

hey,
you have asked a good question ,, let me tell you that IIT is a tough Exam and Not a easy as easy as AIEEE,,,if you are thinking of giving IIT , then you must start your preparations from 10th standards onward,,,from a good institute link NARAYANA or VisionIIT-kota. you can give IIT exam after 10th but as it is early,, it is advised that you give after 10+2 i.e. 12th pass... |

Re: When to prepare for IIT-JEE either after completion of 10th class or after completion of 12th class?
It is always advisable to start preparation for any exam much in an advance so that you can give yourself enough time to get used to the syllabus and the exam pattern as well. IIT JEE especially is a very tough exam to crack therefore all experts and advisers will also suggest you to start preparing for it right from class 11 itself.
You will be eligible to sit for this exam only if you have 60% in aggregate at 10+2 level. Therefore it is very important to strike the right balance and give equal attention to board exam and entrance exam. Remember that you will only get back to back two chances to crack this exam. But try to get in the first year itself as otherwise pressure will keep mounting. In the quest of better marks most of the students overburdens themselves with excess teachers. Try to avoid that. Instead keep enough time at hand the end of the day for yourself to prepare the lessons and go through the notes provided by your sir and mam. Lastly if you think with your coaching institutes teachers you will be able to pull it off then well and good, otherwise you should look to get yourself enrolled in some coaching institutes as they will be able to provide you with the right study material and take exams to evaluate your performances. Good luck |

Re: When to prepare for IIT-JEE either after completion of 10th class or after completion of 12th class?
it is better that you start preparing for iit as soon as possible and gain as much knowledge as you can... because after 12 you will not get enough time for preparation and dropping is not a good option so you should start preparing for iit after 10.

Re: When to prepare for IIT-JEE either after completion of 10th class or after completion of 12th class?
Hi
You should start you preparation after class 10th and not after class 12th. This is because of two following reasons. 1. IIT JEE syllabus has 45% from your 11th, 45% from your 12th and 10% higher lever (approximate but varies around these figures) So you will be understand it better, along with your 11th and 12th 2. Number of attempts of IIT JEE has been restricted to 2. Once with 12th and then next year. If you start preparing now, you would be able to prepare by that time and can utilize both you attempts successfully. all the best |
