Re: When to start preparation for UPSC civil services?
Hello friend,
The minimum eligibility to write civil service exam is a degree from a recognised university with the age limit of 21-30 years. So, i dont think you are too late to start the preparation for UPSC civil service. You will just need to work hard and give maximum time for its preparation as soon as you complete your graduation. |

Re: When to start preparation for UPSC civil services?
Hello friend,
No, you are not late for starting preparation of civil services exams. In fact, this is the ideal or proper time to start preparation. You will have to take some coaching classes if you really want to crack UPSC exams. Just always keep in touch with daily newspapers and employeement news magazines where notifications and details of these exams are given. Prepare yourself up-to-date with aptitude tests, general knowledge etc. Best of luck! |

Re: When to start preparation for UPSC civil services?
Hi!
You are not too late to start preparation for UPSC civil services exam if you are planning to appear in CSE next year i.e. CSAT, 2012. But if you wish to appear in CSE in your final year only i.e. CSAT, 2011 then you are a little late. It will be better if you will appear in next year because in this way you will be able to get an idea of CSAT exam which is being introduced from the current year. Anyways if you interested in joining civil services then you should start your preparation from the final year itself because CSE is one of the toughest exam in india. |

Re: When to start preparation for UPSC civil services?
Hey, its never too late for preparation.
As you know the pattern of IAS exam is going to change from next year to CSAT you need to fill in certain criteria like age, nationality, qualification. After completing your graduation just go through your old History and Civics book along with Geography, because these are the minimum subjects you need to know about. You can get the syllabus and other such details in the following link http://www.upscportal.com all the best, prepare well. |

Re: When to start preparation for UPSC civil services?
well kiran,
don't think that you have been too late to prepare, you still can do every thing. nothing is impossible for you if you have real determination and power to adapt things so smoothly. preparing for IAS exam needs very much concentration, determination and hard work, without them you can't even think of cracking any exam. indian admistrative services are one of the best exam and a reputed entry in administrative services. you are a final year student right. if left with less months then try to take a crash course outside and keep hard work on each and evey problem. if you concentrate on study materials given by the coaching centers they really will gonna help you a lot. and pattern of the exam you might be knowing right!!! according to them you start preparing for it now itself. good luck. |
