Can my son claim OBC reservation, if my salary is Rs. 15000 per month and my wife's salary is above 600000 per annum?
Respected Sir, my wife is working as a lecturer in state government Karnataka pre university college, and her gross salary exceeds RS 600000 per annum. I myself working as a assistant teacher in private school, and I am earning RS 15000 per month. Sir, can I claim OBC certificate for claiming reservation for getting government job to my son, as he has passed M.Tech?

Total family income is counted for non creamy layer certificate. If family income is above 6 lacs per annum, then you won't be eligible for non creamy layer certificate. There is no exception for women member of the family.
In your case salary is well above the mark. Therefore, you will not be able to get the benefit of OBC reservation. |
