Eligibility for UPSC Indian Forest Services Officer exam?
What eligibility required to enter in upsc can anyone please do tell me that soon? I want be an Indian forest services officer

* Indian Forest service (IFS) examination is conducted by UPSC.
* ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : 1. Candidate must be a citizen of India. 2. The minimum age of the candidate is 21 years of age and maximum age of the candidate is 30 years of age. 3. Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal husbandry and veterinary science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology. 4. Or a candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in engineering from a recognized University/ Institute. 5. The maximum number of attempts for appearing the IFS examination is 6 times. 6. Candidate must be physically fit according to the according to the physical standards of the IFS examination. |

Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year and the eligibility criteria required to appear in IFS examination is mentioned below :-
1. You must be a citizen of India. 2. You must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained the maximum age of 32 years as on 1st August of the year of examination. 3. You must have obtained a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from any recognised university. 4. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC IFS examination notification. |

Indian Forest Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. This year notification is not yet released but you can expect the notification in the month of May/June in the official website of UPSC.
Eligibility Criteria :- -> Applicant should be a citizen of India. -> Applicant age should be between 21 years to 32 years at the time of appearing for this examination. Upper age limits is applicable for reserved categories. -> Applicant should have completed degree course with at least one of subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent qualification. Eligibility for the Indian Forest service Examination :
--> You should complete the graduation from any of the below subjects from a recognized university. --> Namely Maths,Physics, Chemistry, Zoology,Botony ,Agriculture ,Forestry and Statistics etc., -->The Age should be in between 21 to 30 years.And Age relaxation is there as per government rules. The selection procedure will be based on the Prelims and Main's Examination and to apply for the Indian Forest Service you should go to the Official website of the UPSC and there you can fill the required details with your scanned photograph and Signature. |

Minimum eligibility required to apply for UPSC Indian forest service examination 2015 :
Candidate should have at least a bachelor's degree in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized university : Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science/ Botany/ Chemistry/ Geology/ Zoology/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics OR A bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Forestry of Engineering from a recognized university. Those candidate who are pursuing final year/semester of degree or appeared for exam and awaiting for final exams result are also eligible to apply for this examination. Examination Pattern of India Forest Service Examination 2015 : Paper I - General English - 300 marks. Paper II - General Knowledge - 300 marks. Paper III, IV, V and VI will be based on those two subjects which a candidate chooses while applying for examination means each subject will have two papers and each paper carries 200 marks so total 600 marks. Now 600 + 300 + 300 = 1200 marks. + Interview Marks will be added. This examination is conducted around July of the year so you should visit at the official website and get more details. |

UPSC stands for the Union Public Service Commission.
For filling up the various highly reputed posts in all the government forest departments across the country they conduct a Forest Services Examination every year. According to the guidelines released by the UPSC regarding the eligibility for writing the exam are as follows : * The minimum and maximum age criteria is 21 years minimum and 32 years maximum for a general candidate. * The minimum educational qualification required is the candidate should be graduate under the scheme of 10+2+3 of UGC at least. * There is no such fixed or minimum percentage criteria given by them at rhe time of graduation. * The maximum number of attempts is 6 for a general candidate. |
