I am a BDS pass out and I want to join Indian Army. How do I apply and what exams do I have to give to apply for the post of a dentist there?

You can apply for Combined Defence Services examination to join Indian Army.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services. It is conducted twice every year.

Eligibility criteria for CDS examination:

Candidate who has done bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university can apply for CDS examination for Indian Military Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

Age limit for IMA is 19-24 years and 19-25 years.

Both unmarried male and female candidates can apply for CDS examination.

As per your qualification you will get the job of dental officers in Indian Defense Service and you will get the rank of Officer in Indian army. You can apply when the advertisement comes in employment newspaper. The age of the candidate should not be more than 45 years and the candidate must have a minimum of 55% in BDS and should have completed his BDS from a recognized university. If you crack the exam and your name comes under the merit list, then you will call for an interview followed by a medical test.

In order to join Indian Army, you will have to appear for NDA examination and after clearing the exam, you will have to clear the SSB rounds conducted by the organization and once you clear the SSB rounds, you will be most eligible to join Indian Army and serve your country.
