The candidates are selected for the SAIL through the following selection stages.

* Written exam.

* Group Discussion.

* Personal Interview.

The syllabus for the written exam is given below :

The exam paper consists of five sections which are mentioned below.

* Technical questions.

* Reasoning and Mental ability.

* General Knowledge.

* Quantitative aptitude.

* Vocabulary.

The duration of the exam is two and half hours.

The preparation tips to crack SAIL exam is given below.

PREPARATION TIPS :

* Practice more number of previous years question papers to get the idea about the pattern of examination.

* Candidates will learn the time management by practicing previous papers.

* Candidates are advised to read newspapers to cover the general knowledge section.

* The aspirants are advised to refer the standard books for their preparation.

* Write mock tests as many as possible for the self assessment of topics you learnt.
