Sir, myself R.K.B.NIRMAL KRISHNA (B.E.ECE) (III Yr). I would like to know how to join CBI Or CID. Waiting For Your Reply Eagerly.

You are eligible to become CID officer only after completing your graduation.
After completing your final year B.tech you have to give entrance exam conducted by SSC.
Eligibility criteria:
citizen of india
graduation from recognised college, no marks criteria.
Age:between 20 to 27 years-general
20-30 years-OBC
20-32 years-sc/st
selection process:
written test
physical test
personal interview
so,complete your graduation.generally notifications for CID officers will come in the month of febrauary.

To be eligible to join in CBI or CID, you must have completed Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university. To join in CBI or CID, you must have to appear in Indian Civil Services examination which is held by Union Public Service Commission every year. Eligibility required to join in CBI or CID is mentioned below :-

1. You must have completed Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university.

2. You must have attained the minimum age of 20 years and must not have exceeded the maximum age of 27 years as on 1st July of the year of examination. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

To join as a CID officer there are certain qualifications which you need to possess. You can apply for the CID post by writing the UPSC exam (Union Public Service Commission) which is held every year. The eligibility criteria's include:

• Nationality
• Age limit
• Educational Qualification
• Physical Standard

-> The nationality standard states that candidate should have a citizenship in India

-> Age limit needed is 20-27 years for general category.

-> In the case of SC/ST category candidate you get 5 years relaxation which is 20-32 years and for OBC category candidates it is 20-30 years

-> Regarding the educational qualification, candidate should have completed a degree from a recognized university in any stream.

-> The physical standard needed is Height for men is 163 cms and for women: is 152 cms

If you satisfy them all then you can apply for the exam. Candidates are selected through :

1. Written test
2. Physical Test
3. Personal interview

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Crime Investigation Department (CID) are government posts which deals with the complex criminal cases that cannot be dealt by police department.

To become CID or CBI officer, one has to qualify in the following stages.

* Written exam.

* Personal Interview.

* Physical fitness test.

The eligibility to become CID or CBI officer are same which is given below :

ELIGIBILITY :

* Candidate should be citizen of India.

* Candidates age should range from 20-25 years.

* Age relaxation is applicable as per norms.

* Candidate should have passed graduation in any stream with 60% or above from any recognized university or institution.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Male candidates :

* Height - 163 cms.

* Chest - 82 cms.

* Visual standard - 6/6 right eye, 6/12 left eye, 6/9 both eyes.

Female candidates :

* Height - 152 cms.

* Weight - Proportionate to the height and age.

* Visual standard - 6/6 right eye, 6/12 left eye, 6/9 both eyes.
