Tell me how to apply for IRS preliminary exam and when the date to register for Civil Service Aptitude Test for the year 2014

To apply for the IRS examination, you need to fill up the online application form at the UPSC official website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. You can apply for the IRS examination, once the notification is released by the Union Public Service Commission of India.

Eligibility Criteria :-
To be eligible to appear for the IRS examination, you must satisfy the following eligibility criteria as mentioned below :-

1.You must be a citizen of India.

2.You must have completed the graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

3.You must be in between 21-30 years old. Age relaxation is applicable as per the government rules.

4.You must be Physically and Mentally fit.

Examination Pattern :-
1.Civil Services Preliminary Examination(CSAT)
2.Civil Services Main Examination and Personal Interview
