I have finished my Graduation last year. My aim is to crack UPSC Civil Services. I am an Electrical Engineer. Kindly tell me about the important dates of UPSC Civil Services recruitment of this year. Waiting for your reply!

Union Public Service Commission conducts Civil Services Examination every year. Any graduate with minimum age of 21 years can apply for this examination. Electrical Engineers are eligible to apply for Civil Services examination.

The important dates for apply for Civil Services examination 2016 is already over. You need to wait for next year examination. The important dates for 2017 Civil Services examination is:

>>Date of notification: 22/02/2017

>>Last date of applying online:17/03/2017

>>Date of preliminary exam: 18/06/2017.

Preliminary examination of Civil Services examination, 2016 will be conducted on 7th of August, 2016. The last date for applying for this year exam is over.

Important dates for 2017 exam:

*The notification will come on 22nd February, 2017. Last date to apply for exam will be 17th March.

*Preliminary examination is on 18th June, 2017. Electrical engineers can apply if they are at least 21 years of age on 1st August of year of exam.

Being an Electrical Engineer, you can apply for the UPSC ESE exam.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Engineering Services Examination as a combined competitive examination for recruitment to the services or posts of Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

Important Dates for UPSC ESE/IES exam 2017 :-

Date of Notification: 28 September, 2016

Last Date to Apply: 21 October, 2016

Date of Preliminary Exam: 8 January, 2017

Date of Main Exam: 14 May, 2017

This year UPSC has already announced the examination for the Civil Service. If you have missed it then apply for the next year. You have at least 1 year time to prepare your self doe the same. To apply a candidate must be graduate from a recognized university in any faculty. Your age must be between 21 years to 32 years. Below I have attached the notification for the same for your reference which will help you to understand the exam pattern.

The official notification was out on 22nd February 2017
Final date for submitting the application form 17th March 2017
The Civil Services Exam 2017(Pre) :-18th June 2017
Date of main examination :-28th October 2017

Important Dates for UPSC ESE/IES exam 2017 :-

Last Date to Apply: 21 October, 2016

Date of Preliminary Exam: 8 January, 2017
