Sir, I am eager to join Banking sector through IBPS RRB VII recruitment as an Office Assistant. I know little about the same post. Can you please tell me about the job profile of Office Assistants in Banking Sector through IBPS RRB VII recruitment?

As you are eager to join banking sector and make your career good in RRBs then you must know the different roles and duties of Office Assistants in RRBs because Office Assistants are given different types of duties and responsibilities at the same day and also a little targets to complete tasks given by higher authorities :

>> All entry level work is the main duty of office assistant in regional rural banks means entry of passbooks, statement, cash vouchers of payment and receipts.

>> Opening of various types of savings, current, fixed, recurring and other deposit accounts on given time and as per request of the customer.

>> Management of Cash if given duties of cash means payment, receipt and accepting of bulk deposits in the branch as per rules and regulations of RBI.

>> Cash remittance duties are the major priority of office assistants means remittance of cash from one branch to other branch and from one bank to other bank as per rules and orders collected from branch manager.

>> Exchanging of soil notes and other damage notes from customers and providing them good ones as per request and rules of the bank and keeping soil notes at right place separately for depositing at currency chest later as per order of the higher authority.

>> Transfer of funds from other accounts of the same bank and accounts of other banks as well by using E-Payment mode as per request of the customer.

>> Solving queries of customers related to accounts, AADHAR, E-Payment, Direct Benefit Transfer, Subsidy, Pension and making them in proper order.

>> Clearing of inward and outward cheques and bills and sending them for realisation and making CTS - clearing every single day received in the branch.

>> Writing and drafting of various online/offline applications related to office work and employees of the branch as well on time and management of scroll and leave register as per time.

>> Implementation of Insurance and other relevant schemes of the government such as Pension schemes, Jivan Jyoti Scheme, Accidental Insurance scheme, health insurance scheme as per target of the branch.

>> Helping customer in various digital banking related issues and guiding them proper ways and modes of use and making them understand the manual of using online banking portals.

>> Making of Demand Drafts, Bills and other Gift related deposits in the branch as per request of the customer

>> If manager orders then office assistant has to open loan accounts as well and manage other things related to state/central pension and TDS related work as well.

Duties might be increased and decreased as per availability of staff in the branch so candidates must be ready for work and if you work today them tomorrow will be yours and not only the banking management but also the people will respect so work honestly and be punctual of time in the work.

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. IBPS conducts Common Recruitment process for recruitment of Group A Officers and Group B Office Assistants ( Multipurpose ).

Salary of IBPS RRB Office Assistant is between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000. Salary may vary from banks to banks. New recruits are entitles to 100% Dearness Allowance.

Job profile of Office Assistants in Banking Sector through IBPS RRB VII recruitment :

RRB Office Assistant is a lower divisional management post. An office assistant would be a supporting hand in numerous bank functions like :
  • Inquiry Counter Management : Candidate have to provide information to account holders about bank facilities and handle their doubts.
  • Withdrawal or Receipts Management : Receiving cash, pay orders, demand draft, cheques etc. or paying out cash of cheques, demand draft or withdrawal forms etc.
  • Delivery and Emails management : Managing the delivery of the cheque books and handling emails on behalf of bank.

There is good scope of promotion and progress within the job as well. Office Assistants can get promoted to post of Officers through experience and deputation. Job security is higher as compared to that of private banks.
