The candidates are recruited for the various posts in different fields through entrance exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The age limit for the UPSC exams is generally 21-32 years. Age relaxation is applicable for the reserved category students.

The maximum age limit for the General candidates is 32 years, 35 years for OBC candidates, 37 years for SC/ ST candidates.

PREPARATION TIPS :

* At first, know the syllabus for the applied post and start preparation accordingly.

* Plan a schedule and act accordingly.

* Focus more on the tough subjects rather than on the subjects you know well.

* Practice more number of previous papers to know the pattern of exam.

* As time management is important factor, the candidate is advised to write more number of mock tests.

* Follow only one or two text books for the reference purpose because many subjects will confuse the students and take more time on each subject.

* Keep a separate note books for formulas in order to revise at the last day of examination.
