Can anyone of you kindly tell me about the pay scale of Assistant Loco Pilot in RRB? I have applied for the same post in RRB recruitment. I don’t know about the pay scale for the same post. So kindly tell me asap.

As per notification of Assistant Loco Pilot, the pay scale of falls in level 2 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

The starting salary is Rs 19,900 plus certain additional allowances.

Pay Scale of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment:

Pay Scale or Salary offered for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot in RRBs is as follows.

Pay Scale of ALP - Rs.19,900/-
Level 2 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
And allowances as admissible

The Promotion and Career Growth of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot are,

<> Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)

<> Senior Assistant Loco Pilot (Sr. ALP)

<> Loco Pilot (LP)

<> Crew Controller/ Power Controller/ Loco Foreman (Loco Supervisor)

Besides basic pay, you will be entitled some of the benefits or perks which may include the following.

The pay scale for Assistant Loco Pilot lies in level 02 of pay matrix.

In seventh pay commission, it is Rs 19,900 plus certain other allowances .

You are curious to know about the salary structure or pay scale of Assistant Loco Pilot of Railway Recruitment Board so here I have given the details of the pay structure of ALP in Railways :

The Basic level 2 CPC of the selected candidate will be 19900/- as per 7th pay commission means this will be the basic payment of the ALP of RRB.

After these 19900/- you will be paid other allowances which are DA - Dearness Allowance, HRA - House Rent Allowance, Local Conveyance and other facilities which are as per the central govt. rules means your aggregate salary will be as following :

Basic - 19900/-
DA - 21000/- around
HRA - 6000/- around
Conveyance - 5000 approx.

So finally your salary will be around 50000/- per month in Indian Rupee out of which your NSDL contribution will be deducted and other deductions as per govt. rules.

So this salary is good enough for a candidate joining ALP at very early age by qualifying the required stages of the examination so to achieve this you have to work hard for exam and interview and other stages of selection then you can become ALP in Railways.

If you start your study and give 4 hours a day for study and 4 hours for practice then you can easily qualify the exam so buy some suitable books and start practice for this exam.

The salary of an assistant loco pilot in RRB ranges upto Rs. 20,000/-. Being a fresher first you have to work as an assistant to a loco pilot and after getting experienced, you will be promoted to a senior loco pilot and hence, your salary will also get increased. The promotion depends upon your performance, so work with full dedication and give your best.

After the implementation of 7th Pay Commission, the Indian Railway has made a great enhancement in the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Salary.

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot employees will get Level 2 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix that means the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot will be paid Rs. 19,900 Per month.

Grade Pay - Rs. 1900/-

RRB conducts entrance examination for recruitment as Assistant Loco Pilot.

As per the 7th Pay Commission the monthly salary for the Assistant Loco Pilot is near about Rs 21,000 per month.

The salary does not include other allowances and perks.
