NDA stands for National Defence Service exam.

Candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

Written examination will be divided into 2 parts-

Mathematics-300 marks.
General ability Test- 600 marks.

Total time duration for 2 papers is 300 min

General Ability Test -

English 200 marks
General Knowledge 400 marks

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and the entrance examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year.

The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in defence services. The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed or pursuing in 12th from a recognised board.

Candidate's age must between 16.5-19.5 years.

Only male candidates are eligible to appear for examination.

The examination is conducted in two stages as written and SSB and candidates have to qualify in both stages for final selection.

Eligibility criteria such as educational qualification, age limit, etc., required to apply for National Defence Academy is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You should be within 16 1/2 to 19 1/2 years old.

3. Educational Qualification :-
--> For Army Wing :- You should have completed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board.
--> For Air Force and Naval Wings :- You should have completed 12th standard or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognised board.

4. You should be an Unmarried Male candidate

5. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification.

National Defense Academy (NDA) examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission and the candidates who wants to apply for NDA examination must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

> Candidates should have completed 12th standard with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.

> Age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years.

> Height of the candidate should be minimum 152 cms.

> Candidates should be physically/mentally fit.

> Only Indian citizens are allowed.

> Only male unmarried candidates are allowed.

The selection is done on the basis of written examination followed by SSB interview and medical test.

Age Criteria and Educational Qualification Required to apply for NDA:

There is a certain age criteria required and educational qualification required in order to be eligible for appearing in NDA (National Defence Academy) Examination.

Minimum Qualification Required :-

> You must have studied 12th Class in 10+2 pattern from a recognized university

> You must have passed 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) subjects

> Candidates who are pursuing 12th Class are also eligible to apply.

Age Criteria Required :-

> Minimum Age Required - 16.5 years

> Maximum Age Allowed - 19 years

> There is no age relaxation for any candidate

NDA examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in Air Force, Navy and Army wing.

The examination is conducted twice every year by UPSC. The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing in it.

The age limit to appear for examination is 16.5-19.5 years. For recruitment in Indian Air Force and Navy you need to have PCM as main paper.

The examination is conducted in two stages
Written
SSB.
