I am doing Food processing engineering. I want to know about the job scope for this course under government sector. Please help me.

Food processing is the wing of Food sector which is creating wide range of job opportunities directly and indirectly in both the public and private sector organizations.

Government is also encouraging this industry to improve their value from 20% to 30% and improve their processing level from 6% to 20% which in turn is expected for more and more job opportunities in future.

Some of the government sectors which offer employment to the Food processing graduates are given below :

* Department of Food and public distribution of government of India.

* Central warehousing corporation.

* Public distribution shops in different parts of the country.

The eligible candidates can apply for the following post in the above mentioned sectors :

* Deputy manager.

* Deputy Assistant.

* Assistant General manager.

* Medical officer.

The salary package is also very good for the posts in Food processing industries.
