The Railway Recruitment Board(RRB) published the notification for the recruitment of Senior Section Engineer(SE) vacancies.

Pay scale of senior section engineer in railways are Rs. 10300-34800/-

Basically, Promotion is based on your experience and skill, which is shown in the work. If you have shown good performance then you may get promotion for sure. Wherever, retirement is based on your age limit. The retirement age of Railways department is 58 years.

Promotion Policy in Indian Railways for Senior Section engineers. In Central / State deptt. Assistant Engineer posts is gazzeted post. Is SSE post is gazzeted post.

Dear Sir, I am 34 years old male having b.tech and m.tech in Ece. At Present working in PSU bank as p.O. from approx 3 years.now final call came from rrb to join as senior section engineer telecom. Is it wiseful to join as sse telecom ?

The initial salary would be basic=12540+4600=17140(For grade pay 4600 the pay scale starts from 12540 all over)
The allowances and incentives depends on the nature of job provided to you

Senior Section Engineers may be promoted to SSE in case they have performed well for a long period, have been awarded with many medals and certificates, or have proved themselves as an excellent engineer by performing extraordinary tasks or solving difficult problems.
