Sir, I have completed diploma EEE and BA Tamil in correspondence. I have interest and my life for sub inspector of police. Please tell me a physical fitness and qualification Sir, I am eligible or not eligible my age is 26. Please Sir, I want answer.

The physical fitness criteria for sub inspector post are as under :-

*Height-

**For male candidate-170 cm.

**For female candidate-157 cm.

There is relaxation in height for hill men and tribals by 5 cm.

*Chest: 85 cms with expansion (There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

For Male candidates:

100 meters race in 16 seconds
1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes
Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances
High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances
Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances

For Female candidates :

100 metres race in 18 seconds
800 metres race in 4 minutes
Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances
High Jump: 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances

-The candidate should not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.

-The candidate should possess high colour vision for the post of Sub-Inspector and Eye-sight required (with or without glasses) is as under:

**Distant vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.

**Near vision: 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.

As per my knowledge for sub inspector post candidates are required to have Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

Physical requirements:-

>>Minimum height: 5 feet and 3

>>100 meters race in 16 seconds

>>1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes

>>Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances

>>High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances

>>Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances.

Physical Standards Required for the post of Sub Inspector in Police Department:

>> For Male candidates :-
* General Candidates - 170 cms
* Reserved candidates - 165 cms

>> For Female candidates :-
* General Candidates - 157 cms
* Reserved candidates - 155 cms

>> 100 m race in 16 seconds - For Male candidates

>> 100 m race in 18 seconds - For Female candidates

The eligibility criteria for post of Sub Inspector post:

>>Academic qualification: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year graduation candidates are also eligible for this examination.

>>The age limit varies from state to state. However, general age limit is 20-30 years. OBC and SC/ST candidates can get upper age relaxation.

>>The physical criteria for this post is minimum height of 165-170 cms, chest of minimum 80 cms. For more details about written exam and further process of recruitment, you must visit official website of your recruitment board for Sub Inspector post.

To become a sub inspector the candidate who have completed his/her graduation from any recognized University are eligible and those who are in final year are also eligible.
Physical requirement:
Eyesight:
Distant vision-6/6 one 6/9 other side.
Near vision- 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye
Chest 76cms for men and there is no such requirement for female candidates.
Height 165cms-men
Height 155cms-women. The weight should be according to your height, however minimum weight requirement is 48kgs.
The candidate needs to appear for SSC CGL exams and UPSC exam to become a CBI officer. Selected candidates will be eligible to appear for main exam then for an interview round.
The age of the candidate must be between 20 to 27 years.

Physical Fitness criteria to become SI:

* Minimum height should be 165 cms.
* Chest should be 76 cms without expansion.
* Vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other.

These are the physical fitness to be needed.

Physical eligibility criteria for Sub Inspector examination:

1. For general candidates, minimum height is 170 cms and is relaxed by 5 cms for candidates belonging to Garwhal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh etc. Female candidates, minimum height required is 157 cms.

2. For male candidates, 100 metres race in 1.6 seconds, 1.6 kms race in 6.5 minutes, shot put 3.5 metres in three chances.

You have completed B.A course through correspondence mode so you are eligible for Sub Inspector post but your degree must be recognized.

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years.

Physical criteria for SI post:-

Minimum Physical Standard:

i) For Male Candidates:
Height-1.67 mtrs.
Weight-51.5 Kgs
Chest-79 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms

ii) For Female Candidates:-
Height-1.60 mtrs.
Weight- 45 Kgs

iii) Vision :

Eye-sight ( with or without glasses )
Distant vision : 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.
Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.
