I have completed my diploma with 75%. Now i am in final year B.tech.I was interested to be an government employ. How to approach? What all steps I need to do to ensure that I will get the job? Please guide me.

Yeah, you are eligible to apply for government jobs after completing B.Tech courses. If you are interested in government jobs than regularly check the wanted columns in employment news paper. The government jobs notification will be published their respective official website as well.

All these the government sector jobs :

-> BSNL
-> BHEL
-> SAIL
-> NTPC
-> ECIL
-> BARC

You can activate the alerts from job portals like Monster India, Naukri and Timesjobs..etc. Even you can apply for UPSC Engineering Service Examination, Combined Defence Service Examination, Banking Sector, Railway Jobs and Civil Service Examination.

Dear there are several ways to get a job in government sector with your educational qualification. One of the best ways is you have to write and get a top ranks in GATE or IES .Then you can easily get a job in Public Sector Undertakings.

Or you can also take the individual examinations conducted by the various Public sector Undertakings.As you said you being a final year student then you can prepare well for GATE or IES examinations.

Even though if you will secure 55% in B.tech , there are many ways to get a Governemnt job. You mentioned that you are in Final year of B.tech now . So , if you try hard and get morethan 60% in b.tech then you are eligible to apply for many Government jobs.

With 55% in B.tech ,

~ you can apply for the Civil services exam (Ias , Ips, Ifs , etc.)

~ If you get a Good rank in GATE exam , then you no need to bother about your percentage. You are eligible for the interview round in many Government core companies like bsnl , isro , gail , ongc , etc..


~ You can apply for the Ibps bank clerk exam .
For the ibps bank clerk , there is no Cutoff percentage in graduation . The candidates shouldhave completed graduation is necessary.


~ You can apply for the CDS exam also to join in Defence services.
CDS stands for Combined defence academy
Through this exam you can join in either Army or Navy or Airforce or OTA

You will definitely get a government job and your dream of being a government employee will be successful if you work hard and well according to the requirement because it is not too tough to get a government job at present for a candidate dedicated towards the goal and ready to do work harder to achieve success but a government job is as farther as it should be for a candidate just dreaming of being a government employee but not ready to work according to the current environment of competition so you have to strong your mentality to prepare well and start working to reach to your goal.

You are a engineering stream graduate (going to be) so I would suggest you some jobs related to your field because if you will utilize your knowledge in the same field then it will be the right utilization of your education collected in degree course.

GATE Entrance examination is conducted every year for fresh engineering graduates and those BE./B.Tech students who are appearing for final year exams so that you are required to apply for this examination.

Before applying for this examination, you should know everything about this exam because preparation is must and if you could not qualify GATE test then you will be restricted to apply and appear for exam for three years so that will be bad that is why you need to prepare well and if possible then get coaching by some experts so they will guide you how to crack exam and secure good marks.

Once you secure enough qualifying marks then you will be eligible to apply for various government jobs of Junior Engineers/ Assistant Engineer/ Engineering Graduates/ Graduate Asst Engineer and other posts of Technical stream engineers in various PSUs of India such as - ONGC, NTPC, Coal India Limited, BHEL, GAIL, SAIL, OIL, MOIL, NDMC, NHPC, PGCIL etc. and you can secure a very good life after getting job in such great companies of the government of India.

If you are not interested in GATE then you should go for IBPS CWE Specialist Officer examination for IT Officer scale I related to your engineering stream and other than your stream, you can choose another career options available :

IBPS CWE Probationary Officer and Clerk jobs in nationalized banks of India and same posts are recruited in RBI and SBI as well.

SSC - Staff Selection Commission also conduct Junior engineer examination and other than that, you can apply for Combined Graduate Level examination to join big reputed posts in government departments, Combined Higher Secondary Level exam, Sub Inspector examination to join police service.

Indian Railways recruits engineers and assistant/ junior engineers but if not interested then apply for Assistant Station Master jobs, Technician Jobs, TTE jobs, Goods Officer etc.

Insurance sector also recruits engineers for relevant discipline and you might also apply for Assistant Administrative Officers and Assistant posts in Insurance fields of the government of India.

Will I get government job after scoring 55% in B.tech EEE, 10th 63% and 12 th 45%?

Obviously you can get government job in banking sector as well as central sector after completing graduation with 50%.


Banking sector:

1. State bank of India

2. Reserve bank of India

3. NABARD

4. SIDBI

5. NABARD etc.

Central government jobs:

1. Indian army
2. Indian railway
3. Central bureau investigation
4. Comptroller and auditor general of India
5. Income tax department
