Being a History Honours candidate I am eligible to apply for IAS exam?
Respected Sir,
I am pursuing History Honours in Graduation. I am interested to give IAS exam. Kindly tell me I can apply for IAS exam or not? Waiting for your reply. |

IAS exam stands for Indian Administrative Service which is conducted by UPSC every year.
You are eligible for IAS exam after graduation in History Honors. Education Qualification: Graduation from a recognized university in any stream There is no percentage requirement. Your age should be between 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given to reserved category candidates. Selection Process: Preliminary exam Mains exam Interview |

Yes, you are eligible to appear for Civil Service examination conducted for recruitment as an I.A.S Officer.
The candidates passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university are eligible to appear for examination. The age limit to appear for examination is 21-32 years with relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category. So, after your bachelor degree you are eligible to appear for examination but have to qualify in all three stages of examination for final selection.
