Yes, you are eligible to apply for JEE Main and Advanced examination this year even if you have not applied for JEE Main and Advanced examination previous year. Being a 2016 passed out candidate, you are eligible to appear in JEE Main examination in 2017 and 2018 and you are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination in 2017 and you are not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2018 examination.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination.

>>There are three consecutive attempts for JEE Main exam and two for JEE Advanced examination.

>>As you have done 10+2 in 2016, you can apply for JEE Main exam in 2016, 2017 and 2017 and for JEE Advanced, 2017 will be the last attempt. You will be eligible for JEE Main only in 2018.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and it is conducted by CBSE and IIT. The maximum number attempts to appear for examination is :-

Main - 3.

Advanced - 2.

As, you have passed your 12th in 2016 you are eligible to appear for Main in 2016,2017,2018 while for Advanced stage in 2016 and 2017.

So, even if you will qualify in JEE Main in 2018 you are not eligible to appear for Advanced stage. For more information about examination visit at www.jeemain.nic.in.

Yes , sir you can because maximum limitations of attempts is 3 times.
-> you get to attempt IIT mains only if you qualified JEE.
-> JEE - Joint Entrance Exam which gives u an opportunity to join in NITs if you qualify .
-> IIT :- Indian Institute of Technology which is the best institutions across the nation
You will get seat if you qualify the exam with decent rank. So don't loose confidence
Let the preparation in progress.
