Cutoff rank required in JEE Advanced to study B.Tech(Electrical Engineering) in IIT-Kharagpur?


Hello,
I want admission in IIT. I am preparing for JEE Mains & Advanced. I have already taken a coaching for my preparation. I want to study B.Tech Electrical Engineering in IIT-Kharagpur. So, for this what rank I have to achieve in JEE Advanced?

Since electrical engineering is a very coveted branch, you have to get a rank within top 500 if you are in general category. For OBC, within 1500(GEN) and for SC/ST, within 5000(GEN).

In electrical engineering, there are two type of courses, B.Tech & Dual degree.
Dual degree course is of 5 years (B.Tech + M.Tech).

You can also opt for electrical in others IITs like Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Madras. Electrical is equally good here too !!.
