Is a girl eligible to join Indian Army after completion of graduation with PCM stream? What is the minimum eligibility criteria followed for joining Indian Army? Is it easy for a girl to join or not? please provide me your suggestions and advice.

Normally, those who are interested to join in Indian Army can join either through NDA or CDS exam. But, being a female candidate you are not eligible for the Indian Army wing. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the Indian Army wing. However, you can join in the Indian Offer Training Academy through CDS exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every twice in a year.

OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMY (OTA) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Eligible aspirant must be an Indian citizen who has passed Graduation in an discipline from a recognized university.
• The aspirant age must above 19 years and below 25 years.
• The aspirant must be physically and medically fit.

You are a female candidate. So after completion of graduation degree, you are eligible for Indian Army post through CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Indian Military academy: You should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

Officers Training Academy: You should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

Age criteria:-

Indian Military Academy: - 19-24 Years
Officer's Training Academy: - 19-25 Years

UPSC conducts Combined Defence Service examination for recruitment of candidates in different defence wing. The eligibility to appear for examination for recruitment in Indian Army is :-

Candidate must have passed graduation from any recognised university.

Candidate's age must be between 19-24 years.

Candidates passed graduation in any discipline.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination for recruitment. The examination is conducted twice every year and is conducted in two stages. Candidates have to qualify in both the stages for final selection.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service entrance examination conducted by UPSC twice every year.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for examination and after qualifying in examination become eligible to final recruitment in examination. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed graduation from recognised university.

The age limit and discipline of graduation vary for different wing. Candidate passed graduation in any discipline are eligible to appear for Indian Army and age limit to appear for examination is 19-23 years.

The examination is conducted in month of February and August. Candidates after qualifying in written examination are eligible to appear for SSB.

* In order to perform well in English section, you have to work more on English language. You have to make special study of grammar, English language comprehension, antonyms, synonyms, use of preposition etc. You should read any English newspaper daily as it helps in improving your vocabulary.
