I am a student of Engineering. right now it is my third year, and the upcoming session 2014-15 will be my final year of graduation . i want to know whether their is any other entrance exam rather than SSB for my kind of students in INDIAN ARMY which is conducted in pre-final year of graduation.

It is really good to see that you want to get into Indian Army and serve the nation. There are three modes of entry schemes for engineers to join Indian Army. They are :-

-TGC (ENGINEERS)
Eligibility Criteria
Age:20 to 27 yrs
Qualification: BE / B Tech in notified streams of Engineers

-UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME
Eligibility Criteria-
Age:19 to 25 yrs for Final Year, 18 to 24 yrs for Pre Final Year
Born Between 2nd Jul to 1st Jul for Jul Course.
Qualification:Final and Pre Final year students of Engineering Degree Course
Marital Status: Unmarried
Application to be Received by 31 July or as specified in the notification.

-SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION TECHNICAL MEN
Eligibility Criteria:
Age between 20 to 27 yrs as on first day of the month in which course is due to commence
Qualification: Engineering Degree in notified discipline
Marital Status: Unmarried / Married

It is great to see that you are interested in the defense field.

But let me tell you, there are different entries like TGC, SSC, UES to get the entry in the defense forces but if you want to get into a higher post of commission officers then every entry and exam will lead to the SSB.

There is no procedure to avoid the SSB to get entry to a higher post in defense.

I m studying B.tech in Agriculture ,can I will be apperaing for UES,TGC or SSC entry scheme?
