I am a Bangladeshi student passed Higher Secondary Certificate(Intermediate) exam this year. I like to study MBBS either public or private in India. I shall appreciate your reply regarding the admission procedure including the approximate cost.

You have to force to apply for student visa. If Indian government approves it then you can take admission in Medical. First you have to take admission in MBBS. Its duration is 6 years including 2 years internship. Then if you want to go for MD then you have to qualify another exam for MD. Its duration is of 3 years and 2 years of specialisation. If you wants to go for MS then you have to qualify another exam. Its duration is 3 years. So it will take about 15 years to complete your full medical.

If you will pursue MBBS and medical study in India then it will take about 12 to 15 years. Firstly you have to apply for student visa in India and if Indian government approves it then you can take admission in Medical. It will take about 6 years to complete your MBBS course in India and then if you will pursue MD then it will take about 3 years and 2 years for specialisation. After that you can go for MS and it will take 3 years. So this is the whole procedure to complete your medical study in India.

Procedure to take admission in MBBS in India for a Bangladesh student:-

NRI candidates are not eligible to get admission in a medical college of India. To take admission in private medical college of India, you have to clear the qualifying exam which is conducted by respective state government by any university. If you can clear the qualifying exam, you will become eligible to get MBBS admission in private medical colleges under NRI quota. Every private college can offer 15% of its seats to NRI candidates. So, you should try to get admission in any private medical college.

How to apply:-

After qualifying the exam, you should visit any private medical college and you should your application form along with your qualifying exam report and your 10th and 12th standard certificates.

While it might seem tough for an outsider to get admission in a college in any other country, such is not the case for Bangladeshi students to get admission in India. Not only for MBBS but also for engineering the procedure is easy and almost the same as that for an Indian student.
All you have to do is ensure that you have more than 60% in PCB i.e Physics,Chemistry and Biology and more than 50% in English.
After which the procedure for application is the same as that for the Indian students. You will have to approach each college individually and try to get admission there. If this college demands an entrance exam to be given then you must appear for it as well.
All government colleges and entrance exams are open to foreign students. Although there are some private universities that do not offer seats to foreign students.

The cost of the course will depend mainly on the college you join. If it is a government college than you can expect it to be 80k rupees per year for 5 years.
For private organizations, this can very well go up to 5 lakh rupees per year for 5 years.
