Hi, I'm Nandini. I want to do fashion designing but in class 11th, I chose the subjects like. fashion studies, maths, economics, English, geography and sociology. By choosing this I have some confusion that this subject are good or not good for my fashion designing. Please help me and I also want to know that pure science is needed to do fashion studies. Please help me to get rid from my confusion.

There are no such mandatory subjects required to study fashion depressing course. Candidates from any streams like science or commerce are eligible to study fashion destining course. So, there is nothing to worry about. After completing your 12th standard from a recognized board you have to appear for a written examination. The admission in fashion designing courses will depend upon the marks secured in the examination, so you have to prepare well for the examination.

The eligibility to get admission in :

B.Des - Candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board.

B.F.Tech - Candidate must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main paper.

So, you are not eligible to get admission in B.F.Tech course. The entrance examination is conducted by various institute for admission. Candidate have to qualify in entrance examination for admission.

There are no fixed subjects required to pursue Fashion Design courses after the completion of class 12th. So, you should not worry about it.
Candidates those who have completed their class 12th in any discipline from a recognized Board scoring a minimum of 505 of marks in it can apply for fashion designing courses.

Top exams for Fashion designing are as follows-
NIFT.
NID.
CEED.
IIFT etc.

Mainly all have the same criteria to be appear in these exams.
A candidate must be 12th passed with recognized board.

A candidate must have physics, chemistry and maths as the main subjects in class 12th.

So, you have to pot science stream to get admission in fashion designing.
