I am 2yrs graduate degree holder. Then I completed MCA from IGNOU (Three years). Am I eligible for Ph.D in Computer Science? Can you please give me the details on the eligibility criteria for the same? Awaiting to get the response soon. Thank you!

Yes, you are eligible to apply for PhD in Computer Science in IGNOU after completion of MCA from IGNOU. Candidates with Master’s Degree and/or M.E/M.Tech/M.Phil in the Computer Information Technology or equivalent specialization with at least 55% marks, can apply to the PhD in Computer Science. Candidates will be admitted to the PhD in Computer Science through an Entrance Test and Interview conducted by IGNOU. You have completed MCA course from IGNOU so you are eligible for Ph.D course in Computer Science. But you fulfill below given criteria and you must have a valid GATE or UGC NET score card.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There are no age criteria.
