I m a sc caste pg in MA sociology age 34 can l have eligible for phd prgrame? Am I eligible to do Ph.D in Sociology if my age is 34 years? Can someone please let me know the complete eligibility criteria which is followed for the Ph.D course? Can you please guide me to apply for it?

Ph.D Sociology course is the study of human cultures, communities and societies.

The main eligibility criteria is that the candidate must hold a master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks in relevant discipline from a recognized university/ institute.

As there is no such upper age limit for pursuing Ph.D courses.

Candidate has to appear for the entrance examination conducted by different universities.

You have completed M.A in Sociology and your age is 34 years old so you are eligible for Ph.D in Sociology subject.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There is no age criteria for Ph.D course.
