Am I eligible to sit in NET if didn't have studied Nutrition as a Honours subject in B.Sc Food and Nutrition? Which subject should choose for NET?
Hello sir, I have completed PG in Nutrition with Distance mode from a UGC recognized university. I did not have studied Nutrition as a Honours subject in B.Sc Food and Nutrition. Am I eligible for NET exam? Which subject should choose for NET?

If you have scored more than 55% marks in your post graduation then you are eligible for NET exam. For applying in this exam candidates must have completed their post graduation with minimum of 55% marks.
After completion of your Post graduation in nutrition you can do PhD in food and nutrition. Thanks |

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by UGC. The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam. There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years. |

Yes, you are very much eligible to sit for NET examination after having completed your PG in nutrition from a recognized university as the minimum eligibility requirement in order to opt for the examination is that the candidate should have a PG degree with a minimum of 55% in aggregate from a recognized university.
