I have done Masters degree in History. Now i want to take admission in Ph.D. course. So can i take admission?

After completion masters degree in History, you can do Ph.D course in History but you should qualify in UGC NET exam.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam in Osmania University. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There is no age criteria for Ph.D course but your age should be below 28 years for JRF post.

Yes, you can take admission if you have got above 55% marks in M.A History degree from a recognized university. For reserved category 50% marks will be enough to become eligible. Just keep track of admission notification of different universities and apply on prescribed format before the last date.

For getting admission you have to pass written exam and interview with excellent marks. It is advisable to qualify exams like NET/SET/JRF before applying because these candidates are exempted from written exam.
