Can I pursue PhD after completing MA externally? What is the minimum marks required to get admission in PhD?


Respected Sir, I am pursuing MA externally and after completing it I wish to pursue PhD. I want to know can I pursue PhD after completing MA externally? If yes then please tell me the minimum marks required to get admission in PhD? Please answer as soon as possible.

Yes, you are eligible to do Ph.D course because you have completed MA course.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree. There are no age criteria.

Yes, definitely you can pursue Ph.D course after the completion of MA externally, there is no problem in it.
Candidates those who have completed their Masters degree course in relevant field from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% of marks in it are eligible to opt for Ph.D course.

If person has 54 %...and not a sc category....do he any possibility to get into MPhil entrance... as he will miss by one percent
