Re: PhD in Theoretical Physics is possible after MA in Mathematics?
No, you can't apply for Ph.D in theoretical physics based on maths degree.
You need a M.Phil degree in Physics or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% or an equivalent grade from a university or a recognized institution of higher learning. The candidate should also have qualified a national level test like NET/SLET/CSIR/UGC tests for JRF/JEST/ GATE, etc, are preferred for admission. |
