Possibility to study PhD in Hindi in Mangalore University for a candidate who has completed M.A. about 14 years ago?


Hello Friends,
I have completed M.A in Hindi 14 years ago.
Now I just want to do Hindi PhD in Mangalore university.
Kindly let me know that is this is possible or not?

You must have at least 55% marks in your M.A degree in Hindi to become eligible for Ph.D admission in any UGC recognized University in India. For reserved category candidates there is relaxation of 5% marks and they can apply with 50% marks. It doesn't matter if you have done M.A 14 years ago if you have good enough reason to support your gap.

If you have been doing some professional work then it will help you in getting admission. If you have 5 years of professional experience in the given field then you will be exempted from entrance exam and you can apply for direct interview for Ph.D admission.
