The increment in both the cases will be same and there will be no difference in the increment of both the candidates.
PhD takes a minimum of 3 years to complete and once a candidate has completed the course of PhD then he will be eligible for the job of Assistant Professor as soon as the he is awarded the Degree.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
