What is the scope of studying PhD in Chemistry?


I have already done with my MPhil course in the specialization of Chemistry. Now, I want to do PhD in this stream. But some of my friends are not suggesting me to do PhD. They told me that there is not scope. So, I would like to know about the scope of PhD in this stream.

There is a good scope for PhD in Chemistry background candidates. You may find employment opportunities in diverse areas of chemistry. They may include, Organic Chemistry, Agricultural chemistry..etc.,

You can find job opportunities in,
* Petrochemical Companies
* Agrochemical organizations
* Pharmaceutical Companies
* Metallurgical based organizations
* Polymers and Plastic based companies..etc.,

as a Forensic Scientist, Analytical Chemist, Pharmacologist, Toxicologist, Nano technologist, Research Scientist, Product Manufacturing Industries, Healthcare Scientist, Nano technologist, Pharmacologist, Nuclear Engineer, Scientist, Environmental Consultant, Professor in colleges/ universities..etx., You may find good number of employment opportunities in research labs.
