Whether M.Tech candidates are eligible to appear in JEST?
Sir,
I would like to know that M.Tech candidates writing JEST entrance examination? And get any preference w.r.t marks/percentile obtained for admission into participating PhD institutes? |

Yes of course, M.Tech candidates are absolutely eligible to apply for JEST examination. But, JEST 2015 Examination has been already completed on 15th Feb. So, now you cannot apply for this examination. Next notification will be released in the month of December/January in the official website of JEST.
Minimum Educational Qualification to apply for this examination is that candidate should have completed M.Sc, M.Tech, M.E from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. No percentage bar is there to apply for this examination. Final year of master degree course may also apply. JEST Participating Universities !!! |

Yes, M.Tech candidates are eligible to appear in JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) Entrance Examination. Yes, based on the marks you secure in JEST Entrance Exam, you will be alloted to any one of the participating organizations.
For Ph.D Program (Physics): * Candidates must have passed M.Tech in Physics to be eligible. For Ph.D Program (Theoretical Computer Science/ Neuroscience/ Computation Biology): * Candidates must have obtained M.Tech in Computer Science and related disciplines or in any engineering or science discipline with good mathematical skills.
