Age limit for JEST exam are as follows: - 1. 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates 2. 21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates and 3. 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates. Good Luck & Best of Luck |

National Board of Examination (NATBOARD) is an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. National Board of Examination is one of the reputed Boards which conduct the Entrance test for admission into DNB Program. This course is of 3 years duration
Specialty courses allotted in DNB : DNB can be done in following courses - Medical – Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Rheumatology. Surgical – Cardio Thoracic surgery, Genito Urinary surgery, Neurosurgery, Pediatrics surgery, Plastic surgery, Peripheral vascular surgery, Surgical, Gastroenterology, Surgical Oncology. DNB Eligibility Criteria : Candidates who are in possession of Post Graduate Medical degrees from Indian Universities registerable as additional PG qualifications as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent /provisional registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council before the last date of submission of the application form i.e. 6th April, 2010. For list of eligible qualification required for entry to DNB (Super Specialty) courses, candidates are advised to refer to schedule at Annexure E. Note: Candidates are advised to ensure before submitting their application form that they fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria and their application is complete in all respects. Applications of those candidates which are incomplete or do not fulfill the eligibility criteria will be summarily rejected. DNB CET Exam Pattern : This will be of 2 hrs duration. There is no negative marking in the test. The question paper will be divided in 2 parts. First part will contain MCQ questions based on General & contains 100 questions of 50 marks. Second part short structured questions are asked related to specific specialty & consists of 10 questions of 5 marks each. Also 10 marks is for Institutional Assessment. |

Yes ,you are eligilble to write the JEST exam as there is no upper age limit for the JEST exam.

i am doing btech from electrical branch from private college of gautam buddah technical university .i will pass in yr 2013 ,i want to become an astronomer ,i want to do theoretical research on astronomy ,can i achieve it by qualifying jest exam ....

Its elligibility is---
M.Sc. in Physics, or an M.Sc., M.E., or M.Tech. in related disciplines. Candidates with M.Sc. in Mathematics will also be considered at Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) . At Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) , a Masters degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, etc., is necessary. Graduates with B.E. or B.Tech. will also be considered at Indian Institute of Astrophysics(IIA), Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics(IUCAA), National Centre for Radio Astrophysics(NCRA),Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR),Raman Research Institute(RRI) and The Institute of Mathematical Sciences(IMSc). For Mathematics -M.Sc. in Mathematics, or an M.Sc., M.E. or M.Tech. in related disciplines. For Theoretical Computer Science- M.Sc., M.E., M.Tech., in Computer Science or related disciplines, and should be interested in the mathematical aspects of computer science. At Harish-Chandra Research Institute (HRI) candidates with a Bachelor's degree will also be considered for the integrated M. Sc,Ph. D. programme in Mathematics/Physics. At The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc)- Graduates with a B.Sc., B.E., or B.Tech. degree will also be considered for admission to the M.Sc. (by Research) programmes in Mathematics, Theoretical Computer Science, and Physics, as part of an integrated Ph.D. programme in these disciplines. At S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences (SNBNCBS) Talented graduates with B.Sc.Physics, B. E., B. Tech. degrees will be considered for the Integrated Ph.D. programme. |
