Will I be able to join PhD through CSIR after turning 28 years old?
I have qualified NET CSIR fellowship which valid from 1st July to 1st July. But if I join in PhD through this CSIR in June my age will just cross 28 years. So what is opinion for this situation?

Quote:
Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for CSIR NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree. Your age should be below 28 years. But still you can apply Ph.D through UGC NET exam. The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam. There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years. |
