Is B.tech candidate eligible to do higher studies in M.Sc?


I am a B.tech Biotechnology Candidate and I like to do my higher studies in marine biotechnology or marine biology . So is that possible for me to do my highers in M.Sc,as my parents said after doing B.tech ypu should do M.tech or M.S not M.sc. Pls explain my query?

If you have done B.Tech then you will be eligible for only M.Tech in same stream or its related field. There is no chance of admission in M.Sc because universities don't allow B.Tech passouts for admission.

Hence, try to qualify GATE which will be the best option for you to get admission in a top college for M.Tech programme with stipend.
