No, Economic Honours students are not eligible for Loco Pilot exam in Railways.

Educational qualification:-

Eligible ITI departments are Fitter/Electrician/Instrument Mechanic/Mill Wright or Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Wireman/Tractor Mechanic/Armature & Coil Winder/Mechanic Diesel/Heat Engine/Turner/Machinist/Refrigeration & AC Mechanic.

Eligible Diploma departments are Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering.

Age criteria:-

Minimum age =20 years
Maximum age =30 years

Yes,an Economic Honours student can apply for the post of Loco Pilot in Railways .

The examination for Loco pilot is conducted by RRB (railway recruitment board).

The procedure to apply for job of Loco Pilot in Indian Railways are as under :-

-The candidate age should be in between 18-30 years. There will be relaxation is in age limit as per the government rules.

-The candidate must have passed 10th/equivalent and should have done ITI from a recognized university or 12th or diploma in engineering in electrical /mechanical / electronics /automobile engineering.

-The selection is done through written exam followed by the PET and medical test for the qualified candidates.

Application fee:

For open category candidates : Rs. 40/-

There is no need to pay fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates .

Application can be downloaded from the official website.The applicant has to submit offline application form which is available on the official site and send it to the respected RRB. The application form,examination fees along with all required documents should be sent to the zonal office.

Yes, of course you are eligible to become a Loco Pilot in Railway after completing Economics Hons. Those candidates who have completed their 10th standard from a recognized university are eligible to apply for Loco Pilot Railway.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Candidates must be an Indian citizen.

- Candidates must pass 12th examination from a recognized central/state board. Those candidates who have completed their ITI course or Diploma degree in Engineering are also eligible.

- Candidates must be between the age of 18 years and 30 years and upper age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category students. Three years for OBC category candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

- The Selection procedure based on Written Exam and Personal Interview.
