Can I apply for CAT and MAT being a B.A.(Economics) final year student?


Hello
I am last year of my graduation
I want to give CAT and MAT.
I want to study MBA.
But m in B.A. Economics.....
So i can give CAT and MAT?

Yes, you are eligible for CAT and MAT exam.

CAT stands for Common Admission Test.

Those candidate who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university with above 50% marks are eligible for CAT exam.

For SC/ST candidates the percentage is 45 % in graduation. There is no age limitation for the candidates. Final year student are also eligible for CAT exam.

MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test.

Those candidate who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university are eligible for MAT exam.

Yes, of course you are eligible to apply for CAT and MAT entrance exam. But, you are eligible to participate only after qualifying in BA without any pending backlogs. There is no issue your educational qualification and specialization as well. Any stream graduates are eligible for MAT and CAT exam.

1) Common Admission Test (CAT) exam is conducted by IIM(Indian Institute of Management) for admission to 2 years MBA(Master of Business Administration) course.

2) MAT stands for (Management Aptitude Test) and Entrance Examination conducted by All India Management Association for four time in a year during the month of February,May,September,December.

Eligibility Criteria:

-> Graduates in any discipline with 50% marks from a recognized university can apply and 5% relaxation will be applicable for reserved category students.

-> Final year students of Graduate Courses, whose result will be declared before commencement of admission can also apply for MAT and CAT exam.

-> No minimum marks required for MAT exam.
