Eligibility Criteria required for Railway Loco Pilot Post:

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) issues notification for filling up posts under Assistant Railway Loco Pilot and Technician. Here are the detailed eligibility criteria required for applying for Railway Loco Pilots is given below.

Educational Qualification:

>> The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for appearing in RRB Railway Loco Pilot recruitment examination is "10th Class (Or) Matriculation Pass" from a recognized university.

>> Perhaps, candidates who have completed their ITI or 12th Class or Diploma in Concerned field of Engineering are also eligible to apply for this post.

Age Criteria:

>> Minimum age - 18 years

>> Maximum age - 30 years

Pay Scale Offered:

* Pay Scale of Rs.5200/- to Rs.20,200/- with Grade pay of Rs.1800/- per month.

Assistant Loco Pilot exam is conducted by Railway Recruitment Board.

The eligibility criteria for Assistant loco pilot exam is given below-

Eligible ITI departments are Fitter/Electrician/Instrument Mechanic/Mill Wright or Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Wireman/Tractor Mechanic/Armature & Coil Winder/Mechanic Diesel/Heat Engine/Turner/Machinist/Refrigeration & AC Mechanic.

Eligible Diploma departments are Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering.

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation provided for reserved category candidates.

Eligibility requirements needed for Railway Laco Pilot post :

--> You must complete at least SSC or X from the recognized Board. or the candidates who have completed their 12th can also eligible to apply for Railway Laco Pilot post.

--> Diploma/ITI Candidates in the streams of Mechanical, Civil , Electrical and Electronics from the recognized board.

--> Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age : 30 years

--> There is a Age relaxation allowed for the reserved candidates based on the government norms and rules. As I said for OBC (3 years ) and SC/ST ( 5 years ) .

Selection Process :

1.Written Examination :

Consists of 4 sections and they are namely General English, Quant, Reasoning and General Awareness. The Total exam is for 90 min and consists of 100 Q having 25 Q from each section.

The examination for Loco pilot is conducted by RRB (railway recruitment board) . The notification for the recruitment is published on the official website of RRB.

The eligibility criteria required to apply for job of Loco Pilot in Indian Railways are following:-

-The candidate age limit to apply for the post should be in between 18 years to 30 years.

-The candidate must have passed 10th/equivalent and should have done ITI from a recognized university or must have completed diploma in engineering in electrical/mechanical/electronics/automobile engineering.

-The selection procedure is based on written exam followed by the personal interview .

-The salary of Loco pilot is of pay scale Rs 5,200-20,200 .
