I am completing my be this year. And want an admission for Mtech.So whats the procesure for a non gate student to apply for Mtech?

You want to take admission in M.Tech program. Normally in almost all the college the admission in M.Tech course is done through GATE score. But there is no need to worry about that the admission is done through without GATE score too. There are some colleges/ universities in India which take their own competitive exam for admission.

>>The admission in above mentioned institutes is done through entrance exam which is conducted by each institute. But the thing is that you have to score good marks in their entrance exam for securing a seat in M.Tech course.

For a non GATE qualified candidate there is state level entrance exam conducted for admission in M.Tech course. First preference is given to GATE candidates during counselling then the left seats are allotted on the basis of state level entrance exam.

Therefore, just try to be well prepared for the entrance exam of your state so that you are eligible for admission through counselling.

It is good to learn that you are aspiring for higher studies. GATE is one of the common and widely accepted criteria for admission in M.Tech course. Since you have not appeared in GATE, so you can take admission in M.Tech course via :-

- Entrance exams for m.tech admission conducted by various universities.
- Entrance exam conducted by council of technical education of various states.
