It includes basic concepts of society, way of life, culture along with its enunciation in architecture and built form. Briefly covers society (institutions, theories of society and change) culture and its elements, attributes, traits, urbanization and its diverse cultural attributes and built form. Also includes the brief history of shelters - Prehistoric shelters, highly popularized indus valley along with Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilization.

Paper Pattern: Question paper consists of both objective and subjective type questions. Objective type questions include fill in the blanks (5 will be given) and matching. They carry 5 marks each.Rest of the 4 questions are subjective type and carry 10 marks each. They are subdivided and choice may or mayn’t be provided within the questions.

Maximum marks: 50

Examination Duration: 2 hours

Key Points: Questions will be mainly asked in the form of a short note overthe above mentioned topics.
