Hello Sir/mam, My nephew was born on 24th Jan 2007. He is studying 5th Standard in ICSE syllabus. His age will be 14 years 2 months by the time he reaches his 10th Class. So please tell me the age criteria required to pursue 10th Class from ICSE board.

As, according to the ICSE there is no age limit to appear for 10th board examination.

But, the school affiliated with the board must follow the norms of the State Education Department of the State government. So, to get the age criteria to appear for examination visit the school.

There is no specific age criteria set by ICSE Board for pursuing 10th standard. But, if you look at the age criteria required to appear in 10th standard board examinations in other boards like CBSE, SSC, etc., it is minimum 14 to 15 years. Since, your child was studying 5th standard being a 9 years old candidate, at the age of 14 years 2 months he is eligible to pursue 10th standard from ICSE Board.

Yes, of course you are eligible for 10th standard through ICSE board. Normally, the age limit should be in between 14 years to 15 years to join in educational boards like CBSE, SSC, etc.

ICSE stands for The Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination and it is one of the Central Boards apart from CBSE and NIOS providing education upto +2 level in English medium having its school all around the India.

As far as you are concerned about the age limit for appearing in the ICSE Class 10th board examination then there is no such limit officially.

But there can be some age criteria at the time of admission in few schools depending upon the norms of department of education of concerned State.
