How to get MBBS admission in Delhi colleges with NIOS certificate?

NIOS stands for National Institute of Open Schooling which is a recognized board as other boards like CBSE or ICSE.

To get MBBS admission, the candidate have to pass class 12th of 10+2 pattern examination from any recognized board or institution.

The candidate has to write the entrance examination conducted by the respective state boards. After the exam, as per merit the candidate has to go for counseling procedure through which he/ she can get admission in MBBS course.

A candidate can join MBBS, even he/she is a student, who has completed class 12th standard from NIOS Board. Students from NIOS Board can apply for MBBS admissions as similar to other students from different Boards. After the completion of intermediate, the candidate has to apply for any MBBS entrance exam like AIIMS, AIPMT or any other exam, which will be conducted in the respective state. Then depending upon the performance in that exam, the candidate get a seat in any of the MBBS college.

To get admission in any colleges for Bachelor of Medicine or Surgery, you need to clear the entrance test conducted by the different state board of National boards. For admission in MBBS course, following entrance exams are conducted:

1. All India Pre Medical Test.

2. AIIMS entrance exam.

3. State Pre Medical test.

So, you can apply for all these exams even with NIOS certificate as NIOS board is recognized board. You must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology to apply for these exams. All the exams for 2015 is over now.

You can appear for entrance examination for MBBS and after having cleared the examination, you will be most eligible for admission in MBBS course(if seats are not filled).

However, below I have mentioned the eligibility criteria to appear for entrance examination of MBBS;

Eligibility for appearing in entrance examination:

1. Candidate must have passed +2 level of exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as their compulsory subjects

2. Candidates who are appearing for the +2 level of exam are also eligible for the test.

3. Minimum percentage required in +2 examination varies from Institutes to Institutes, however, in most cases a minimum of 50% marks is considered

4. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years at the the time of applying for the examination.
